What is Kargil Vijay Diwas?
On the 26th July 1999 India was able to recapture all high posts that were occupied by Pakistani militants in the Kargil sector of Jammu and Kashmir. The conflict was fought for more than 60 days in the most difficult conditions of weather and terrain demonstrated the strength, courage as well as determination and strength of Indian soldiers.
